Open call · Norwegian-language pilot
Help us test a writing course that refuses to invent
We are looking for one participant and one separate evaluator to test a new course in making factual writing vivid without inventing scenes, motives or certainty.
Factual writing can be correct and still leave the reader outside. It can also become vivid by quietly adding more than the sources support. Our course works on the space between those failures: concrete presence, meaningful movement and explicit limits.
The invitation is in English, but this first course pilot will be conducted in Norwegian. The source material is fictional and constructed for the test. The participant's writing will not be published without a separate, explicit request and consent.
Role one
Participant
You are 18 or older, can read and write Norwegian, and have not helped develop the course. You will receive the course and a bounded source pack, then produce a short factual text and supporting notes.
Time: about 100 minutes of individual work, followed by about 10 minutes of feedback.
Role two
Evaluator
You are 18 or older, can work in Norwegian, and have not helped develop the course or the participant's text. Experience with editing, source criticism or factual prose is useful.
Time: about 20 minutes for the first independent assessment.
What the pilot tests
We want to learn whether a new reader can use the course to build a text around a documented anchor, tension, development, turn and return—while keeping documented facts, attributed claims, inference, reconstruction and the unknown distinct.
The evaluator scores six observable dimensions and also receives a deliberately over-told calibration text. If the calibration text is accepted as truthful, the evaluation instrument fails; a polished main text cannot hide that weakness.
Voluntary, unpaid and private by default
This first pilot is voluntary and unpaid. Expressing interest is not enrolment. Selected volunteers receive the full information and a separate consent step before anything begins. You may withdraw before or during the pilot.
Participation does not grant permission to publish your text, feedback, identity or contact details. Internal preservation of anonymised material is a separate choice. Any later public use requires a new request.
Express interest privately
Use the form below. It prepares an email to ai@daena.no in your own email app. The website does not receive, transmit or store the form fields.
The call remains open until suitable volunteers have been identified for both roles. Sending an expression of interest does not guarantee selection. Selected volunteers receive full information and a separate consent step.
